Cattle ranches and dairy farms once occupied all of the land on the northwest side of the city. Things have certainly changed. Today, this neighborhood is home to popular attractions like SeaWorld San Antonio and the bustling residential community of Alamo Ranch. Start your day with a hike or bike ride across 40 miles of rugged canyon lands and look for dinosaur footprints at the Government Canyon State Natural Area. Immerse yourself with seas lions, seals, dolphins and other aquatic life at SeaWorld San Antonio or enjoy fun in the sun at Aquatica San Antonio. Or, come up close and personal with sea animals at the San Antonio Aquarium. Eat, bowl and play at Main Event Entertainment for indoor fun or shop Alamo Ranch’s open air shopping center. Tee off at the Hyatt Hill Country Golf Club or ride the lazy river at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. Save room for dinner with a Hill Country view at Viola’s Ventanas in Westover Hills or grab an old fashioned hamburger at Bobby J’s. Make time to catch a live music experience at John T. Floore Country Store in Helotes or local tunes on the covered patio at Two Step Restaurant & Cantina. Come see what’s new.
